Wildlife in Wincanton

A diverse range of wildlife is so much closer than you think. We want to find out more about the plant and animal species that live in the town. Do we have a wide variety of butterflies? How many sightings of hedgehogs are there? We would like your help to plot what we have and where.

Eventually, we would like to add the sightings to our own map of Wincanton. In the meantime, you can add your own finds to the iNaturalist website and you can download our map to see where the green spaces are in our town, the recreation grounds and parks, the patches of green around St Peter's church and within the cemetery.
